Sève came from the love of nature, fashion, travel, design and art. We use these inspirations to bring great botanical designs to you.

Julie Ouarti, is a native of France. She studied and worked in fashion, visual merchandising and scenographic design in Paris.

During her time in the french capital, she developed a passion for creating with seeds, flowers and plants while helping her friend, a renowned french botanical artist on exhibits, shows and installations for luxury fashion brands.

Upon moving to California, Julie enrolled in Stanford evening classes to learn more about native California plants and garden design.

She further developed her botanical design skills working as a Visual Merchandiser and Creative Director at a well-known flower shop in the Bay Area.

 While working in the Bay Area’s flower industry, Julie recognized a demand for a French approach to botanical design and décor.

In 2023, she introduced Sève to the local scene. Inspired by both her French heritage and the life force of flowers, she named the company Sève—the French word for “sap,” symbolizing vitality and natural beauty..

 Sève’s floral designs are defined by a romantic looseness and an elegant, effortless style, featuring the finest-quality blooms and rare, unexpected varieties.
